What is Marriage Encounter (ME)?

Marriage Encounter (ME) offers married couples a special opportunity to pause and look closely at their lives together.

It is a time to share feelings, hopes, joys, disappointments, and frustrations — openly and honestly — with the one person you have chosen for life.

The focus of ME is simple yet powerful: deep communication between husband and wife. Over the course of a weekend, away from the busyness and distractions of daily life, couples are invited to reconnect and concentrate on each other.

ME is not a retreat, a counselling clinic, or group therapy. Rather, it is a unique and proven experience designed to renew and revitalise Christian marriage.

It is a gift of time — just for the two of you — to rediscover each other and deepen your love. Every marriage deserves that kind of care and attention.

Over the course of a weekend – three couples and a priest provide new tools, using examples from their own lives, to help couples work through common themes we can all relate to.
